PROVIDING GRANTS IN SUPPORT OF CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION(CME)

We are proud to support the continuing medical education efforts of healthcare professionals to help them provide quality care to their patients.

THE GRANTING PROCESS

Taiho provides support for programs and accredited organizations including CME providers, not‑for‑profit organizations, hospitals, and others that are involved in improving healthcare. Eligible activities can be educational, scientific, or health-related in focus, with topics that cover both basic and clinical sciences. Taiho is proudly committed to helping develop, maintain, or increase the knowledge, skills, and performance of healthcare professionals. Taiho reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to approve or deny any application for a Medical Education Grant for any reason whatsoever.

Continuing Medical Education refers to the ACCME definition of CME which are educational activities that develop, maintain or increase the knowledge, skills and professional performance of HCPs.

THE APPLICATION PROCESS

Applications may only be submitted through our Medical Education Grants online portal a minimum of 60 days prior to the activity date. Medical Education Grants may only be provided in response to an unsolicited written request.

A completed online application includes the following:

  • Letter of request on the organization's letterhead with a description of the program and/or brochure;
  • A detailed budget; and
  • Proof of accreditation by the ACCME, EACCME, ACPE, NLNAC, or a medical society recognized by the ACCME or EACCME.

Taiho will provide grants directly to the Accredited Provider and take reasonable measures to ensure that grant funds are spent appropriately. Approval of grant funding will be acknowledged through a signed Letter of Agreement (LOA) executed by an authorized representative of the organization.
